Agricultural Officers' Training

The objective of SECID's contribution was to provide technical
assistance to a project designed to develop the capability of the
Government of the Republic of Mali (GRM) to train agricultural
technicians (moniteurs) and plan and administer training centers
for these technicians in different geographic locations.

SECID provided technical assistance to the Division of Technical
Agriculture Education and Professional Training in the management
and administration of educational program planning and led efforts
in the development and implementation of short-term participant
training programs. Technical assistance efforts were concentrated
on curriculum revision, in-service training of Malian faculty, and
the production of textbooks and manuals in French.
