Sustainable Coastal Resource Development Study Tour to Europe
for Seafood Processing Technology, Equipment and Marketing

This project was part of the World Bank's Sustainable Coastal Resource
Development Project in China. The goal of the study tour was to develop
a better understanding of the related situations of seafood processing,
equipment and marketing in Spain and France. Delegation members met
officers of the Spanish companies Genalital de Castakyba Department De
Agricultura, Ramaderia Pesca and visited some seafood processing plants
and sea products wholesale markets. In France, the delegation visited the
Landividiau located in the northwest of France, Breuil seafood processing
equipment plants, MOULIN DE LA MARCHE and Bretagne sea products
wholesales market.

After their return, delegation members utilized the information to inform
and improve the program being developed under World Bank funding. SECID
was responsible for the organization of all travel and meeting related activities,
including arranging international transportation, accommodation, meetings,
and interpretation.
