Rural Development and Project Management Study Tour
to European Countries

Guangxi government officials requested a study tour of European countries
to assist them in designing a better implementation of the World Bank funded
China Southwest Poverty Alleviation Project. The goal of the study tour was to
create a better understanding of the related situations of rural development
and project management in European countries. In France, the delegation met
with officers of the National Agriculture Cereal Bureau. In Germany, the delegation
met with officers of the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements
and the Ecological Agriculture Center. In Italy, members visited wineries and
bottling facilities.

SECID was responsible for the organization of all travel and meeting related
activities, including arranging for international transportation, accommodation,
meetings, and interpretation.
