Regional Community Forestry Training

This project provided training to mid-level staff in Asian countries involved in
the implementation of community forestry programs. The focus of the effort was
to establish a Regional Community Forestry Training Center at the Kasetsart
University Faculty of Forestry. The project included three main components:

• Implementing six month diploma training course for over 100 participants
  with direct responsibility for field implementation;
• Conducting seminars for forestry sector policy makers from the region; and
• Providing occasional workshops for forestry and other officials engaged in
  activities related to community forestry.
