Hurricane Georges Reconstruction Project Funding source: USAID
Through a Cooperative Agreement with USAID/Haiti, SECID implemented a monitoring and evaluation program of the Hurricane Georges Reconstruction
program. This reconstruction and relief program was the US Government's
humanitarian response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Georges to Haiti,
and involved various private voluntary and non-governmental organizations.
SECID's two- year project provided monitoring and evaluation services of the
various contractor programs and the impact these programs had on assisting in
the recovery effort. This work positioned SECID to provide similar assistance
in other disaster relief programs sponsored by USAID and enabled the Mission
and its implementing partners to improve the results of their programs.
