    NGO partners  Jordan meeting

As Land Grant Universities, SECID member institutions work closely with the
governments of their respective states to strengthen governmental agencies
and the programs they administer. This experience has led to the development
of innovative forms of collaboration between government, the private sector and
NGOs to improve program performance.

SECID projects in all disciplines focus on strengthening partner institutions from
the community to the national level in order to improve their capacity to serve
their constituencies in an effective manner. These efforts typically involve
improving management and administrative systems, developing organizational
planning capacity, and increasing organizational accountability and stakeholder
participation. SECID has also applied its expertise to projects in which institutional
development has been the primary goal.
