natural resources management

    Nature preservation

Environmental pressures are accelerating due to increased demand on water,
soil, grazing land, and woodlands, resulting in part from urban and industrial
growth. Scarce resources must be managed in ways which encourage sustained
and equitable growth while addressing such environmental issues as desertification,
biodiversity loss, woodland depletion, soil erosion, water supply contamination,
and environmentally related diseases.

Many countries do not have sufficient technical, financial or human resources to
address their environmental concerns. SECID provides such countries with specialists
in natural resource management to introduce the technologies and skills required to
minimize environmental risk and ensure that development is planned and implemented
in economically, socially and environmentally sound manners.
