The US-Egypt Friendship Society (USEF) is a Washington, D.C.-based
not-for-profit membership organization established in 2003 to encourage
friendship, mutual understanding, and cooperation between the United States and
Egypt on our two nations' shared objectives.

USEF mission statement:

USEF's mission is to increase understanding and awareness in the United States
of contemporary Egypt and to promote appreciation of the importance of strong
American-Egyptian relations.

For the first time in history, Egypt is participating in Pasadena 's Rose Parade.
